Love this suit. For reference, I'm 5'5, <140lb, athletic build, and the medium it rather large on me. I would have defiantly preferred to go down to a small.

5 Stars – Our New Go-To Jackets for Cutouts and Comfort!

These jackets have quickly become a favorite at Foothills Bee Company! The ventilation is outstanding—and will be especially appreciated during our intense North Carolina summers—and a major step up from some of the gear we’ve used in the past.

One of the biggest perks for us, especially being in the cutout business, is the Olive Green color. It’s not only sharp-looking but also much better at hiding the dirt and grime that comes with the job compared to traditional white gear.

I personally prefer the round veil in most situations, but the fencing veil with the front that opens up is a great option and pretty popular with our crew. The overlapping zippers take a little getting used to, but once you do, they’re no problem.

Sizing runs a bit large. For reference, I’m 5’5” and about 185 lbs—I wear a small comfortably, but even the extra small fits me well and doesn’t feel restrictive. We currently have four jackets in rotation (XS, S, and M), and I’ll probably grab another XS soon. It really comes down to personal preference—some folks like a roomier fit, but I’m not trying to feel like the Michelin Man in the bee yard!

All in all, these jackets check every box for us—comfortable, functional, and seem durable. Highly recommend!

The suit was a perfect fit. It was comfortable and easy to move in. I felt well covered and didn’t have any issues while installing a new hive. The breathable mesh makes it a lot cooler while wearing the suit as well. Highly recommend!

Light weight. True to size. Pockets in the right places. I am a fan!

I’ve never felt more confident or protected as when wearing my Sting Stopper bee suit. The suit is well-ventilated, so it keeps you much cooler, and extremely comfortable. There are lots of pockets for tools, your phone, or other necessities. The fencing veil fits well and can be unzipped in the front if need be. Lots of Velcro covers the zippers, and allows for sizing for the hand and ankle openings. I was glad to also notice there are even elastic bands that fit on the bottoms of your feet to keep the suit pants part pulled down, making sure your ankles are properly covered. The entire suit is very lightweight, not bulky like other bee suits I have worn before. I have the olive green suit, but this also comes in white for those who prefer it. (Psst…the olive green one won’t show as much dirt!) I cannot recommend the Sting Stopper Bee suit enough!!! I am thrilled to have mine!!!

Easy to put on and take off. I am long wasted and this suit doesn't allow bees in my shirt when I bend over.

I bought this Stingstopper ventilated suit to replace my old cotton suit, which had no ventilation and was very hot (summers in Texas get hot)! Now I can feel a breeze when I wear shorts, and I really like that I can open the front of my veil when needed. I am 6'1, 195 lbs - and a 2x fit perfect!

I have become a fan of Foxhound Bee Co. I have gotten most of my new equipment from them and I am very pleased by the quality and the outstanding customer service they provide. I got hooked by them after watching Adam’s video explaining so clearly all the different box set ups. I knew then that I would be buying from them due to their dedication to the buyer. Just got my suit in the mail today and I’m so thrilled I sized up o e size from my size for the added baggy look.

This kid beesuit is nice! I like the coloring, so it won't show dirt as easy as the traditional white ones. It has reinfored knees, which is nice for kids. It has good pockets and overall good protection. We would definitely recommend this to other folks.

Was looking for a suit that I could work in hives for an extended period of time not having to worry too much about heat. Had several sessions in 100+ degree weather and felt comfortable as I could be compared to a solid suit. The suit is well made, great pocket locations, and quick to get on and off. Extra plus for being nearly impossible to mess up when suiting up as the zippers overlap and the velcro makes it sure to be tight. Would purchase again if needed and will review again in the Spring.

I’ve owned 3 bee jackets that I paid $300 a piece for and were supposed to be top of the line jackets. They worked really well but they had a few issues such as where the two zippers came together caused a gap, elastic wasn’t especially tight allowing beds to crawl up you coat, and the canvas by the wrists was too long so the majority of my stings were there.This jacket fixes all of those issues and more. You know it is a good jacket when you buy it and your wife comes around the corner and says, “Wow, that is a really nice jacket, did you just get that?”ElasticThe elastic around the waist is nice and tight preventing bees from crawling up the jacket.CuffsThe cuffs have Velcro on them which allows me to wear my latex gloves normally and then tightening my cuffs. On my other jackets I had to put the gloves up over the cuffs which would eventually make them break. I use Thickster gloves and they work great with this suit.ZippersThe zippers took a little to get used to because on zipper over zips the other to create a perfect seal around your neck. The zippers are smooth and they come with rings for easy grabbing.VeilI’ve always used fencing veils and that is what this comes with. I really like that you can unzip the veil to get a drink. I sometimes listen to music while working the bees and occasionally my ear bud will fall out so this will make for easy retrieval.SizeI bought a medium jacket. I’m 5’7 and the jacket fits perfectly length wise and isn’t overly bulky.Working in the jacketI have 35 hives so I’m in them almost every day during swarm season inspecting a few a day and I’ve looked through about half of the hives in this suit and no stings. Working in the jacket is comfortable and enjoyable.Final thoughtsI purchased the olive jacket which the color turned out to be really nice. I like everything about the jacket. I’m going to put it through heck over the next few months so I will update if it doesn’t hold up. I think it will and I think this will become my new favorite jacket.

Every time I see a beekeepers jacket ride up in the back I'm thankful I chose to go with the Sting Stopper.I don't have any complaints about the jacket.I am male 6'2" (about 230 Lbs.) and ordered the XXL and while I may have been able to go with just the XL I would much rather have extra room than not enough.Definitely recommend.
