DIY Repair Kit for Beekeeping Suits – Fabric & Sewing Supplies Included

Ventilated suits take a beating — mesh snags on hive equipment, seams work loose after a season of bending and reaching. Before you write off a suit for a small tear, this kit gives you what you need to patch it yourself, usually in a few minutes. It's built around our Sting Stopper fabric, but the tools and technique work on any bee suit, jacket, or ventilated fabric — not just ours.

Both a needle-and-thread person and a glue person are covered here. Stitch the patch in for a repair that holds up to years of wear, or use the included fabric adhesive for a fast, no-sew fix. Either way works — use whichever you're comfortable with.

What's Included

• Fabric swatches — matching mesh and shell fabric in both Olive Green and Beekeeper White, enough to patch a snag or reinforce a worn seam on any suit or ventilated fabric
• Sewing needles, pins, and a small pair of scissors for hand-stitching a patch in place
• Fabric adhesive, for a no-sew fix or to tack a patch down before stitching — sew it, glue it, or both
• A seam ripper for cleaning up a damaged seam before you patch it
• A short zipper section with pull — handy for a pocket zipper that's failed, not a replacement for a suit's main or veil zipper
• A soft measuring tape, so you can size the damage before you cut your patch
• Coordinating thread in multiple colors, and a bonus embroidered patch you can stitch or glue over a repair for a clean finish
